A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine from college was stopping through town and asked if I’d like to meet for lunch! We ate at a little Mexican restaurant down by the beach and walked along The Strand and talked about a wide array of topics, including work aspirations, what we like to do in our free time, and how hard it is sometimes to be so far away from our families. I love when friends from home stop out here for work-related trips — or just for fun — and ask me to hang out for an afternoon. It’s so nice to see familiar faces from back east.
Anyway, my friend — who is a very talented writer — started this really cool magazine-style website called Allegory Ridge: A Magazine for Open-Minded Millennials. The site features content that fits into three categories: Explore, Create, & Grow. And I’ve been enjoying the content so much! I was lucky enough to be asked by Alex to answer a couple of questions about my weaving for the Create category. If you’d like to learn a little more about what the inspiration behind my weavings is, or a little more about my process, go check out his article! And while you’re there, take a look at some of the other articles on the site — I think there’s something for everyone!
