5.12.20 A Lookback to April

May 12, 2020

Aaaanndddd we’re back! For another lookback to a month in quarantine. Has anyone else felt like time has slowed down incredibly? Some days I feel so lucky to have this time to do the things I used to always find myself wishing I had more time for. And other days seem to pass by and … More 5.12.20 A Lookback to April

1.4.20 Dewey Demo Day #2

January 4, 2020

Checking back in for Dewey Demo Day #2! We got up bright and early on this beautiful Saturday and waited until it was neighborly-acceptable to start pounding on metal again (10am, in case you didn’t know) and worked until the sun went down. Time sure does fly when you’re tearing a trailer apart and solving … More 1.4.20 Dewey Demo Day #2

10.15 September in Review

October 15, 2019

Super late…but not forgotten! Here is September’s Lookback List, comin’ in hot!   SEPTEMBER, IN REVIEW: READING: This month I actually finished two very different, but equally fantastic novels. The first, which has jumped pretty high on my ‘favorites’ list is called Cutting For Stone by Abraham Verghese. It is a work of fiction that takes … More 10.15 September in Review

9.2 August’s Lookback

September 2, 2019

August is officially over and with it, it’s taken the last of our cool summer days! We are officially in the “dog days of summer” it seems, where we sometimes go sit in our cars just to feel a little bit of air conditioning in the middle of the day or take sleepy afternoon naps … More 9.2 August’s Lookback

3.26 An Extremely Late February Lookback

March 26, 2019

Well, it’s a whole month late but I am finally sitting down to write February’s Lookback … the months of February and March have almost been a blur amidst a crazy-insane work schedule that have included extra long days and lots of weekend shifts. And any time not spent working, I’ve tried to fill up with … More 3.26 An Extremely Late February Lookback

2.2.19 January in Review

February 2, 2019

January is always one of my favorite months of the year because I love jumping back into that “normal life” schedule again after the holidays, and as much as people love to complain about “New Years Resolutioners”…I love to hear about peoples’ hopes and dreams and goals for the new year! This year, aside from … More 2.2.19 January in Review

1.9 Our Parents Week Recap

January 9, 2019

While this post is long long lonngggg overdue (I blame it on the holidays!), today I’m sharing details about our parents’ visit over the Thanksgiving holiday! This was the first time since living here that both of our parents came out at the same time — and my dad’s first trip out here since I … More 1.9 Our Parents Week Recap

2.2 January in Review

February 2, 2018

I don’t know about you guys, but January felt like it was about ninety days long to me! I think it always feels like the longest month of the year because we’re coming off of so many holiday celebrations with friends and family, and that first week back to work feels like 15 days in … More 2.2 January in Review

11.1 October’s Monthly Lookback

November 1, 2017

November 1st is here!! Let’s look back on the month of October … OCTOBER’S MONTHLY LOOKBACK LIST READING: So I have totally slacked on my “Book A Month” challenge this month, guys. 8.27.17 A Post on Sisterhood & Gratitude

August 27, 2017

I grew up with two older brothers, and they are absolutely my two best friends in the entire world. In fact, rarely does a day go by where I don’t hear from either of them. And it’s not always just a goofy text message or a picture of our pets, but I get real person-to-person … More 8.27.17 A Post on Sisterhood & Gratitude

WHAT I'M READING:

maybe I would have gotten through this quicker *had* I been on vacation … 🌴
I wouldn’t identify this as “a great American novel” … written from someone on the outside. More interested to discuss the controversial topics that the writing/publishing of this book brought up, more than the story itself. 😕
Four badass (old) lady assassins…this was just very fun 🔪☺️
Had to snag this one, written by a professor at my alma mater (H2P!💙💛) Funny and endearing, sad at times … told through a fun therapy-like perspective. Cara is a true blue character.
